Junior Doctors Leadership Group

Junior Doctors Leadership Group (JDLG)

The Junior Doctors Leadership Group is a programme led by the Deputy Director of Medical Education and seeks to enhance your personal development and self-awareness, whilst contributing to Guy’s and St Thomas’ as an organisation. This provides trainees with a chance to feel part of our organisation, to help represent junior doctors views to senior management teams and to influence the care that is delivered across the Trust.

There are four aspects of the programme:

  • A 2-day ‘Immersion Workshop’ that includes:
    • Powerlab simulation (Without system sight, we tend to see outcomes as the result of individual effort (praise or blame). This simulation allows one to see the contribution the dynamic flow of power.)
    • MBTI assessment
  • 5 development days throughout the year – to include co-production, resilience and NHS landscape
  • Commitment to delivery of a quality/safety improvement project within the Trust
  • Reflective piece at the end of the programme
  • Certificate of Participation (for attendance at sessions)
  • Certificate of Achievement (for completion of a project and reflection)
