Welcome to Guy’s and St Thomas’ for King’s Health Partners Otolaryngology specialty training programme.
Otolaryngology is the area of medicine that deals with disorders conditions of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) region, and also covers areas of the head and neck. Doctors who specialise in this area are called otolaryngologists. Patients seek treatment from an otolaryngologists for diseases of the ear, nose, throat, or base of the skull and also, for the surgical management of cancers and tumors of the head and neck.
This post graduate specialty programme provides trainees with the skills, experience and training to prepare you for a career in Otolaryngology. Otolaryngology specific simulation training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ (GSTT) is one of the best that is available in the UK. We will enhance surgical skills training at GSTT and across the various hospitals by blending this variety of surgical simulation opportunities into appropriate sub-specialty placements. They include established sub-specialty training courses in Otology, Rhinology, and FRCS (Orl-HNS) mock examination at GSTT, Head and Neck/Cochlear implant at SGH and high fidelity Otology virtual simulation at (UHL).
This popular 7 year training programme comprises of 3 full time training posts.
