Welcome to Guy’s and St Thomas’ for Kings Health Partners for King’s Health Partners Ophthalmology specialty training programme.

Our eye department offers a wide range of outpatient, surgical and tertiary services for diseases of the eye and surrounding structures. There is also a specialist eye casualty.

We have a strong research background and are a major teaching and training unit for ophthalmologists from all over the world.

381256This post graduate specialty programme provides trainees with the skills, experience and training to prepare you for a career in Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology at King’s Health Partners has been at the forefront of academia internationally and has been the site of innovation of the two most important breakthroughs in ophthalmic care in the last 50 years. It was the site at which the first intra-ocular lens-implant was performed in cataract surgery and was the site of development of the laser refractive procedure for correction of myopia. From this background of international acclaim has been built a department with a reputation for excellence in training. This popular 7 year training programme comprises of 4 full time training posts.
