Nature of course: Open to all Health care professionals working within the Children and Young People’s Health Partnership CYPHP remit of South London.

During this one day course participants have an introductory lecture and a session to familiarize them with the simulation environment, followed by several simulated clinical/ communication scenarios.
Debriefing sessions take place after each scenario, where participants can reflect on their own and the group’s performance, guided by experienced facilitators.
This course focuses on building the knowledge, skills and confidence of health professionals working across different settings, strengthening the working within the Children and Young People’s Health Partnership (CYPHP) new model of integrated care. It uses common clinical situations ranging from acute emergencies to communication-based scenarios to enable participants to develop their collaborative practice.
- Enhance knowledge and skills for managing Children and Young people with long term conditions (especially asthma, epilepsy, anxiety and depression) to provide safe, high-quality patient centered care.
- Give you an understanding of the role of compassionate human factors in healthcare in improving multi-disciplinary teamwork, patient safety and the patient experience.
For all health care professionals working with Children and Young People with long Term conditions in community and hospital settings.
