Refresh your Essential Debriefing Skills
Nature of Course: This course is free to all NHS staff employed within Health Education South London who have completed the essential debriefing skills programme and wish to regain confidence in using the diamond debrief model and intend to practise debriefing on a voluntary basis.
Course Director: Dr Peter Jaye, Consultant in Emergency Medicine, Director of Simulation, and Colette Laws-Chapman, Deputy Director of Simulation
This two-hour course accommodates a maximum of 12. Participants will have the opportunity to actively debrief two pre-recorded scenarios in three small groups. Expert faculty will provide structured debriefing of the practice debriefs with coaching.
Participants will be able to describe the updated diamond debrief model, demonstrate enhanced confidence in using the diamond debrief model and demonstrate enhanced confidence in centring a debrief around Human Factor Skills.
The course is open to GSTT employees who have completed the essential debriefing skills programme and wish to regain confidence in using the diamond debrief model and intend to practise debriefing on a voluntary basis.

Although the course is free, a £50 refundable cheque deposit is required to secure your booking. The cheque will be returned upon completion of the course.
