Evelina London Children’s Hospital cares for children and young people from across south London and south east England. We offer a unique range of services from antenatal diagnosis through to childhood, into adolescence and on into adult life.
Children’s services at Evelina London are mainly located in our state-of-the-art building alongside St Thomas’ Hospital, but we also provide care to young patients in the community in Lambeth and Southwark.
The education and development of our staff is important to us, we are working with our academic partners, Kings College London and London South Bank University to provide exceptional education and training opportunities for our staff.
We are the second largest provider of children’s services in London.

Doctors whose postgraduate education takes place at Evelina London can expect to receive some of the best medical training in the country.
We offer training in a variety of specialties including; Neonatology, Paediatric Intensive Care, Renal, Cardiology, Nephrology, General Paediatrics, & Neurology.
Our paediatric postgraduate medical education programmes includes:
- induction for all doctors, including foundation doctors, general practice trainees and paediatric trainees, as well as non-training clinical fellows
- an educational programme including weekly educational meetings, consultant-led teaching rounds, daily teaching and a weekly radiology meeting
- education and leadership courses for consultants and trainees.
- management training courses for higher level specialist trainees and clinical exam courses
